Head Oncology Nurse Manager

Anita McGowan is a specialized oncology nurse and an advocate of patient-focused care. Trained in Toronto, she has 28 years of specialized oncology experience, including assisting in the set-up of an Outpatient Oncology Clinic, working as a Clinical Trials Nurse, and serving as a key member of a multidisciplinary team at the Toronto-Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre (T-SRCC).

She has mentored nursing students, oncology nurses and radiotherapy students, and supervised an oncology clinic in the case management model where she established a wide range of community contacts. Ms. McGowan's combined knowledge and experience ideally suit her ability to supervise CAREpath's Nurse Case Managers, and actively participate in all of CAREpath's services.
