Dr. Pamela Jarrett currently works a geriatrician in the Department of Geriatric Medicine, Horizon Health Network in Saint John New Brunswick. She was Clinical Department Head of Geriatric Medicine from 1999 to 2010. She completed her undergraduate studies in Science at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and attended Medical School at Dalhousie University. She completed her Internal Medicine (1993) and Geriatric Medicine Fellowships (1994) at Dalhousie University.
She cares for patients in the hospital, home and long term care and is involved with teaching medical students, and allied health professionals about geriatric care. As well, she is a clinical researcher focusing on dementia, geriatric programs and alternate level of care patients in hospital. She is also a researcher with the Canadian Consortium of Neurodegeneration in Aging.
Most recently she began working with the Department of Health in New Brunswick as Medical Officer for Home Care (Extramural Program).
